📝 Detach from other people's benchmarks
This week I've been listening to Tim Ferriss's podcast and picked up a thought that has stuck with me for days.
Detach from other people's benchmarks
The topic they've been discussing was investing and the initial idea that you need to have your own definition of success. Some people invest to be able to buy sports cars; others want to build wealth. And Tim's guest had an example of a guy who wished just to be able to keep traveling with his wife till the end of their days. He didn't care much about other people's thoughts and what society expected. He had a completely different investment strategy because he was so honest with himself about his end goal.
That feels liberating to me. And that feeling can do wonders to you and your mindset. I've been able to detach in that way and find out what I really wanted a few times in my life, but I can easily forget about that when life moves fast. I will be reminding myself about this more frequently now. Everything that I do in life, I do for myself, and I have my own definition of success.

Russian Tycoon Criticized Putin's War. Retribution Was Swift.
Oleg Tinkov is not just a Russian tycoon. He is the most successful Russian entrepreneur, and founder of the biggest neobank in Russia, called "Tinkoff Bank," which became a symbol of innovations in Russia. He was the best example that you could innovate and build a unique products despite being in Russia. Well, not anymore.
Rashism
I didn't know that’s a thing. But unfortunately it makes total sense.
Now Airbnb employees can live and work anywhere
Speaking on non-war topics, this one is huge. However, it should have been done long ago. Another huge milestone in making remote work a default. And we are not going back, that's for sure.
That’s it for today. Thanks for reading. Until next week 👋🏻
